The 27th International Oktoberfest Sevens Rugby Tournament will take place this year on Saturday, September 24th, from 0900h to 1800h.

The day before (Friday, September 23rd) will see another Oktoberfest Golden Oldies Tournament.

The Oktoberfest 7s has been held annually since 1978 and is held during the middle weekend of the famous two-week beer festival.

The event is a one-day competition with 32 teams competing. This year the tournament takes the following structure: 8 teams, playing by invitation in their own tournament; 16 teams playing in their own tournament; and 8 women's teams. After a first round, the tournament is separated into plate, and cup competitions.

It is generally a very international affair, attracting teams from all over Europe, and in past few years also from Australia and the USA.

We operate a very simple "first pay will play" rule, and do not reserve any slots aside for one for last year's winner. We maintain a waiting list when the tournament is fully booked
