About:
For
the 15th time Kiel Rugby would like to
invite our old and new rugby friends to
“Schietwetter Cup” 7s and
are looking forward to welcome you in
Kiel in 2005. Since the mid-eighties teams
from all over Germany, Denmark, Holland,
France and the United Kingdom have met
in Kiel for good rugby and good fun.
This tournament will also now be held
as the inaugural “Kiel Baltic Masters”.
The most successful team from the Baltic
Sea region competing in our tournament
will be presented with a trophy and title
for winning the “Kiel Baltic Masters”.
If you are a university, club or pirate
team, and you live within 350 km of the
Baltic Sea coast, or in Norway, you are
automatically competing for the “Kiel
Baltic Masters”. This competition
will be held within the “Schietwettercup”.
This new cup will be launched to bring
rugby players from our region closer together
to test their skills in the game, and,
of course, to have a good time.
After the great success during “Schietwetter
Cup” 7s in 2000 to 2004 we will
be keeping the ladies competition in the
tournament.
Although we have now three fields at
our disposal, we have set a limit for
participating teams to 24 for the gentlemen
and 8 for the ladies. The first teams
to send in their application and check
or bank draft for the entry fee will take
part in the tournament. All others will
be put on a waiting list in the order
that we receive their entries.
Entry deadline is Friday, May 13th, 2005
For those of you that are new to Kiel,
the Kieler Woche is the largest festival
held in Northern Europe. For more than
100 years sailors and other athletes have
come together to test their skills and
join in into what could well be the world’s
„longest“ party. There will
be approximately 5 km of fair, with more
than 1000 beer and food stands, along
with several free live music stages.
Of course we don’t want to forget
to pass on a some organisational information.
