The Rules

Basic Rules For Drinking Games

Beer or cider is drunk from a pint glass, cocktails or spirits from a half pint glass
Standard definition of a pint = 8 fingers
Fines are halved for spirits and cocktails

Advanced Rules For Drinking Games

You can Elect a drinking Circle Chairman (Usually the Team or Club Captain)


This Chairman can bring the following rules to the game, and can also punish people in the circle with booze;

  • Everyone must be at Chairman’s Level – If you’re a good drinker, you can make sure that everyone keeps up with you, if they don’t Punish Them!
  • Tom Thumb – The Chairman Elects someone at Tom Thumb, during any of the games ‘Tom Thumb’ will place his left or right hand thumb on the table…. And will call ‘Tom Thumb’, the people that do not have their thumb on the table Drink!
  • Weights and Measures – Chairman elects someone to make sure everyone drinks the punished amount of fingers properly.
  • No Showing Of Teeth – You can elect to play games with no showing to teeth, if teeth are shown, Punishment of 2 fingers.
  • No Looking Out Of The Circle ­- Punishment of 2 fingers
  • No Talking Out Of Turn - Punishment of 2 fingers
  • No Swearing - Punishment of 2 fingers
  • No Monkey Noises – Punishment of 2 fingers for burping or farting in the circle.
  • No Pointing - Punishment of 2 fingers for pointing.
  • No Skin on Skin – Punishment of 2 fingers.
  • No Homosexual Tendencies- Punishment of 2 fingers for pointing.
